Live Ride Sharing — Ride Now & Go Live
- SeatShareLK now supports Live ride sharing for journeys happening right now, alongside the existing planned ride system.
- Drivers can Go Live for 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours and make available seats visible to nearby passengers while they are travelling.
- Passengers can use Ride Now to discover active Live rides nearby, choose the number of seats they need, and request a pickup and drop-off location.
- Live ride contributions can reduce as a driver progresses along the journey, while an accepted request locks the agreed contribution for that passenger.
- Passengers can suggest an alternative contribution where appropriate, while drivers remain in control of whether to accept the request.
- Live rides and planned rides remain clearly separated so members can quickly choose between travelling now and planning ahead.

SeatShareLK Plus, Smart Watch & Smarter Commutes
- SeatShareLK Plus has moved beyond the initial preview and now adds optional tools for members who want SeatShareLK to do more of the searching for them.
- Smart Watch can follow regular commute routes, travel days, directions and time windows and alert Plus members when relevant opportunities appear.
- Smart Watch matching can recognise exact routes, nearby commute matches and relevant activity around selected travel areas.
- Plus members can use expanded travel preferences with more districts and preferred areas for more precise matching.
- The core SeatShareLK experience remains free, including posting rides, finding rides, requesting rides and participating in the community.

Ride Boosts, Live Spotlights & Payments
- Drivers can use Ride Boosts to give selected planned rides additional visibility when they want to attract more passengers.
- Ride Boosts can be purchased by drivers without requiring a Plus membership, while Plus members receive additional Ride Boost benefits.
- Live Spotlights can give an active Live ride extra visibility for a limited period while the driver is on the road.
- SeatShareLK Plus and eligible paid visibility features are supported by the new PayHere payment integration.
- SeatShareLK continues to charge for optional platform features rather than taking a commission from the contribution agreed between drivers and passengers.

Events & Event Ride Sharing
- A new Events section helps members find or offer shared journeys for public events such as exhibitions, matches, concerts and other gatherings.
- Event-linked rides and passenger requests can be created for travelling to an event or leaving from it.
- Event journeys continue to use SeatShareLK District and Area matching while also supporting a more specific venue or pickup/drop-off location.
- Multi-day events remain discoverable throughout their event period, and event journeys are shown with clear Event context across ride and booking pages.
- Members can also suggest public events for review and addition to SeatShareLK.

A More Personal, Mobile-First SeatShareLK
- The logged-in Home experience has been redesigned around the journeys and actions that matter most instead of behaving like a traditional dashboard.
- Passenger and Driver modes now have clearer primary actions for finding, requesting and posting planned rides, with Ride Now and Go Live kept distinct for immediate travel.
- Your next genuine upcoming journey can appear directly on Home, while past journeys are automatically excluded.
- What's Happening uses your SeatShareLK activity and travel interests to surface relevant available rides, passenger demand and upcoming events without requiring a Plus membership.
- Smart Watch and Ride Boost information is presented more quietly as useful status and action areas, while active trips, Live journeys, Trip PINs and rating actions remain available when relevant.
- Mobile layouts, navigation, event discovery and journey cards have been refined to make SeatShareLK quicker and easier to use on the go.
